Frequently Asked Questions

Can I vote with a paper ballot?

Yes, you may request a physical ballot from the HOA Management Office.

I like your push for a code of ethics. Are you implying that some Board Members are/were less than ethical?

Note that I'm pushing for both a Code of Conduct and a Code of Ethics — these aren't about pointing fingers. Most professional organizations have both. Challenges have made it clear that going forward, we could use a set of guidelines for future actions. Having defined standards for behavior can only be helpful, and it protects residents and board members alike.

Why are the gates still so slow?

We are currently investigating why the gates are slow, more specificially why the right hand side entry gate is slower than the left. I hope to have an update in the next couple of weeks.

I understand you travel a lot. How are you able to represent my interests?

While I do travel, my Board responsibilities always come first. In over three years on the Board, I believe I've missed only one Board Meeting and one Town Hall — and I make myself available for workshops, email, text, and phone calls whether I'm home or away.

Can Meet the Candidates Night be re-done? We need a stronger moderator and better guidelines. April 7 is my suggestion for a new date.

I am open to another forum. I have proposed to management that we do a survey of residents to get an understanding of what the attendance might be to see if enough people would attend.

Why did the garage work stop? I was told wind. Funny, they worked 3/31 when winds were 50 mph. Job is being done by people who painted the garage? $200,000 is a lot of money. Owners should be kept in the loop.

Great questions. A communication did go out citing “weather conditions” as the reason for the pause — not specifically wind. I understand the frustration, especially when it appeared to be sunny outside. I agree that $200,000 is a significant investment and that owners deserve to be kept informed about progress and any delays.

I think the communication in the April 3rd weekly blast about the project served as a helpful update, giving the end date of the project as April 10th. So apparently, even with the days not worked, it will still be completed within the original two-week timeframe.
